Safety

Seair Seaplanes’ primary focus is safety, and we have integrated exceptional initiatives within our aircraft and at each of our terminals to ensure every effort is upheld for the safety and comfort of our passengers, as well as our staff.

Each aircraft is equipped with a state of the art satellite tracking system providing continuous flight data, location information and messaging capability. On average, each of our pilots has over 10,500 hours of flying experience and undergo yearly recurrent training, as well as underwater egress training. Life vest safety displays are located at each of our terminals, which the pilots use for passenger safety briefings prior to each flight.

Seair Seaplanes was the first seaplane operator in Western Canada to have an approved Safety Management System program. Adopted in 2007, the SMS is continually audited and updated. Seair Seaplanes is a founding member of the Floatplane Operators Association, established to promote safety and professionalism within the industry.
